Venue Information

Lapangan Pacuan Kuda Legok Jawa

Pangandaran, West Java

Legok Jawa is a beachfront track in Cimerak district, Pangandaran Regency, on the Indian Ocean coast near Madasari Beach, about 34 km from Pangandaran town. Racing was earlier held at Cikembulan near West Beach; the Legok Jawa ground was built in the early 2000s and upgraded, stables included, ahead of the 2016 West Java PON XIX, where it hosted the equestrian events. The regency government owns it and PORDASI operates it.

The sand oval faces the open sea, which is the venue's signature in Indonesian racing. It hosts national and regional championships, including the Indonesia's Horse Racing Merdeka Cup and the Indonesia Derby. The facilities include a modest grandstand with seating on the upper floor only, about 80 stables, four steward control towers and two parking areas.
